Job summary

Royal Caribbean Group is seeking a Sr. Manager, Human Resources Operations to lead and optimize crew onboarding, documentation processing, and employee services across global operations, ensuring a seamless, compliant onboarding experience for seafarers.

You will develop the marine onboarding strategy, drive KPIs for onboarding efficiency and compliance, mentor a high-performing team, and collaborate with shipboard and shoreside stakeholders to align crew deployment with fleet needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Maritime Operations or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in crew management, onboarding, or operations, preferably within the cruise or maritime industry.
Proven track record leading global teams and managing high-volume onboarding operations.
Strong knowledge of maritime regulations (MLC, STCW, flag state requirements) and their impact on crew onboarding.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead onboarding strategy aligned with KPIs.
Lead onboarding specialists and documentation coordinators.
Oversee end-to-end crew onboarding: docs, medical clearances, visas, compliance.
Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations.
Collaborate with Operations, Scheduling, Compliance, and HR.
Improve onboarding efficiency through data-driven insights and tech.
Handle escalated visa, medical, background, and last-minute changes.
Standardize onboarding policies across the fleet.
Liaise with flag states, port authorities, partners, and regulators.
