Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH is seeking a Head of IT EDP Data & Integration Operations to lead global 2nd level support for core platform components and drive strategic onboarding and support capabilities across Americas, Europe, and APAC.

You will build high-performing, globally distributed teams, enhance training programs, and partner with product and implementation teams to ensure scalable, secure, and customer-focused IT services.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in IT or related field; 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of people leadership experience in IT, preferably with globally distributed teams.
• Proven background in support, training, or delivery of software solutions/products.
• Experience in Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry is a strong plus.
• Solid understanding of GxP, Computer Systems Validation, regulatory requirements, and pharma compliance is desirable.
• Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong collaboration skills across departments and partners.
• Passion for coaching, developing talent, and fostering professional growth.
• Continuous improvement mindset and drive for operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Global Support Oversight: manage 2nd level support for core platform components across regions.
• Training & Development: design and deliver training programs to enhance user skills and adoption.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: build relationships with platform product teams and partners.
• Team Leadership: coach and develop a diverse, high-performance global team.
• Strategic Direction: define and execute onboarding and support strategy for platforms.
