Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a Senior Manager, Automation & Smart Manufacturing to lead the global deployment of advanced manufacturing technologies across multiple sites. The role drives automation, robotics, machine vision, Industry 4.0, and smart factory initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, safety, and operational excellence.

The position reports to the Director, Global Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and requires collaboration with Operations, IT, Quality, and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the global AME automation roadmap.
• Lead automation feasibility studies and ROI analyses.
• Standardize automation equipment and smart workstations.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams for project delivery.
• Develop AOI, AVI, and vision-based inspection tech.
• Drive AI/ML for defect detection and process optimization.
• Implement IIoT, real-time monitoring, and connectivity.
• Create dashboards for OEE, FPY, uptime metrics.
• Collaborate with IT and Ops for digital traceability.
• Lead robotics, cobots, and smart assembly solutions.
