Job summary

Knowles Electronics (Philippines) Corporation is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead automation initiatives that boost productivity, support NPI, and ensure reliability of automated manufacturing equipment in a high-volume environment.

You will design, implement, and maintain automation hardware and software, collaborate across engineering and production, and drive continuous improvement with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering disciplines required.
• Minimum 3 years in electronics, automation, or high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong automation design, development, maintenance, and troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on with vision systems, motion control, sensors, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Proficiency in PLCs, LabVIEW, Cadence and Perforce.
• Experience with robotics is a plus.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and teamwork.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are looking for a Sr. Automation Engineer to lead automation initiatives that improve productivity, support new product introductions (NPI), and ensure the reliability of automated manufacturing equipment in a high-volume production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement automation solutions that drive productivity improvements.

• Design, develop, and maintain automation equipment, including hardware and software components.

• Support process improvement projects and equipment development activities.

• Collaborate with Engineering, QA, Tooling, Purchasing, and Production teams to ensure project success.

• Support NPI activities, machine setup, pilot runs, and equipment buy-off.

• Troubleshoot, install, maintain, and upgrade production equipment and facilities.

• Manage preventive maintenance and spare parts for automation equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics/Communications Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.

• At least 3 years of experience in an electronics, automated, or high-volume manufacturing environment.

• Strong background in automation design, development, maintenance, and troubleshooting for both hardware and software systems.

• Hands-on experience in vision inspection, motion control, sensors, pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.

• Proficient in PLC applications, motion control, LabVIEW, Cadence, and Perforce.

• Experience with industrial robotics is an advantage.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, time management, and teamwork skills.

• Innovative, self-driven, and able to work with minimal supervision.
