Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a Senior Manager, Automation & Smart Manufacturing to lead the global deployment of advanced manufacturing technologies. You will drive automation, robotics, machine vision, Industry 4.0 initiatives to boost productivity, quality, safety, and operational excellence across multiple sites.

You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, IT, and external partners, develop scalable automation solutions, support factory setup and ramp-ups, and standardize best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 12+ years of manufacturing engineering and automation experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing automation or manufacturing/process engineering teams.
• Proven experience deploying automation solutions across multiple sites globally.
• Extensive experience in SMT, PCBA, wave soldering, assembly, testing, and material handling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the global automation roadmap across sites.
• Lead automation feasibility studies, ROI analysis, and CAPEX justification.
• Establish global standards for automation equipment and smart workstations.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project delivery and factory readiness.
• Lead AI, machine vision, AOI/AVI, and inspection technology deployments.
• Drive digital manufacturing solutions, dashboards, and analytics for OEE and FPY.
• Collaborate with IT and Operations to improve digital traceability.
• Develop robotic and cobot solutions for smart assembly workstations.
