Job summary

VOIS (Vodafone Intelligent Solutions) seeks a Fixed Assets Accountant to join our ARC team. You will manage end-to-end fixed assets accounting, ensure IFRS/SOX compliance, and support audits, month-end close and capitalisation of projects.

The role collaborates with project managers and finance teams to maintain asset registers, prepare reporting packs, and drive process improvements in a global finance environment using SAP S/4HANA.

Qualifications

• Qualified or pursuing CA, ICWA, MBA (Finance), M.Com, or B.Com.
• Knowledge of fixed assets accounting, gained through academic studies or professional experience.
• Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA.
• Understanding of IFRS and SOX compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working with large volumes of financial information and performing detailed analysis.
• Collaborative team player with a proactive and continuous improvement mindset.
• Ability to work with a degree of independence while seeking guidance when required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fixed assets register including additions and disposals.
• Post month-end journals and prepare fixed assets reporting packs.
• Capitalize projects and ensure timely project closure.
• Create, monitor and enhance asset capitalisation controls.
• Reconcile fixed asset balances with the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly fixed assets balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support audit requirements with accurate information.
• Ensure month-end close is completed on time.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement.
