Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking an experienced Controls Manager for the International Consumer Banking group in Manila. You will lead the development of an enhanced control framework, enabling continuous risk assessment and timely remediation across the business line.

Collaborate with operations, legal, risk, and technology to maintain a robust control environment, and support governance forums with accurate reporting and metrics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Operational Risk, Controls, Compliance, or a related discipline.
• Experience in Fraud Operations and/or Customer Operations in a banking/financial institution.
• Ability to identify, assess, and articulate operational risks and support control activities.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and data-driven insight.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication; ability to prepare governance materials.
• Experience with remediation of operational risk issues and control gaps.
• Foundational process mapping and familiarity with control testing.
• Effective time management in an agile, evolving environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

Responsibilities

• Support design, documentation, and maintenance of control frameworks to align with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Partner with Operations and Servicing stakeholders to identify operational risks and translate them into controls.
• Assist with Audit, Risk, and Compliance engagements and exam preparation.
• Support lifecycle of issues and action plans, ensuring timely closure and accurate records.
• Execute risk and control self-assessments (RCSA) and summarize results for review.
• Monitor controls via KRIs/KPIs and escalate emerging risks or control breaks.
