Qualifications

• 7+ years of conflicts management experience, preferably within an international law firm or highly regulated environment.
• At least 2-3 years of leadership, coaching, mentoring, or team supervision.
• Proven experience identifying, assessing, and managing conflicts of interest.
• Strong knowledge of professional conflict rules, firm policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations, exercise sound judgment, and provide practical, risk-based recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence partners, senior leaders, and business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, research, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and professionalism when managing sensitive, high‑risk matters.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing workloads, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative, client‑focused, and proactive approach to leadership, service delivery, and compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience supporting global or multi‑jurisdictional conflicts functions.
• International law firm experience in conflicts management, client onboarding, and risk assessment is strongly preferred.
• Dedicated conflicts management experience within banking or financial services, rather than general compliance, AML, KYC, or risk experience.
• Experience using Intapp or similar conflicts management and client onboarding systems is highly desirable.
• Experience working within a shared services environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct conflict checks for new clients and matters to identify potential legal and commercial conflicts of interest.
• Review and analyze conflict reports and provide practical, risk‑based recommendations.
• Serve as the first point of escalation for complex conflict matters, ensuring appropriate resolution in accordance with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance to partners, fee earners, and business stakeholders on conflicts‑related matters, including drafting conflict and confidentiality waivers.
• Lead, mentor, and coach junior team members while maintaining conflict procedures, policies, training materials, and documentation.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for the Conflicts Committee to support informed decision‑making.
• Support global conflicts initiatives, process improvements, and cross‑regional projects.
• Ensure seamless operational handovers and consistent service delivery across multiple regions.
• Promote knowledge sharing, quality assurance, and continuous improvement within the Conflicts team.
• Build strong relationships with global stakeholders while maintaining high standards of compliance, consistency, and client service
