Job summary

Redstone Commodity Search is seeking a Legal & Compliance Counsel to strengthen regulatory and governance frameworks across its physical and financial trading activities.

You will work closely with senior leadership and legal colleagues, providing guidance on derivatives, sanctions, AML, data protection, and cross-border data handling.

The role also supports evolving sustainability rules, liaising with ESG teams to ensure compliance with CSRD, EUDR, and related regulations across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with 3+ years in legal or compliance roles.
• Strong knowledge of derivatives regulations in trading environments.
• Exposure to financial crime frameworks, sanctions, AML, and data protection obligations across regions.
• In-house experience in commodities or financial services preferred.
• Familiarity with KYC/AML platforms and cross-cultural work.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal and compliance guidance on trading activity, including derivatives and OTC transactions under MiFID II, EMIR, and MAR.
• Lead regulatory reporting and manage day-to-day interactions with exchanges, brokers, and regulatory bodies.
• Design, update, and enforce compliance frameworks for sanctions, anti-bribery, money laundering, fraud, and modern slavery risk.
• Oversee whistleblowing, investigations, remediation, and data protection obligations, including cross-border data handling.
• Support implementation of evolving sustainability regulations (EUDR, CSRD, and CSDDD), liaising with ESG teams and reporting to internal committees.
