Job summary

Redstone Legal, Risk & Compliance Search is seeking an experienced power/carbon broker to join our Dubai-based energy desk. The role focuses on bringing in an active European book, liaising with banks, hedge funds, and trading houses, and ensuring regulatory compliance under FCA rules.

The successful candidate will travel to strengthen client relationships and work within the energy team to identify trading opportunities, reporting to the Head of Gas, Power, Carbon, LNG and Energy Structured

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in power/carbon broking.
Knowledge of ICE and EEX exchanges.
Coverage of European power and carbon clients with an active book.
Must be FCA regulated and comply with the FCA code of conduct.
Role located in Dubai and travel to build relationships.

Responsibilities

Bring in an existing book of active contacts across European hubs, liaising with clients globally including banks, hedge funds, utilities, market makers, fund managers, institutional, trading houses and other trading boutiques.
Ensure compliance with FCA regulatory requirements and report any breaches of policy to Compliance or your supervisor.
Adhere to internal policies and risk framework for your role and ensure parameters are followed.
Work within the energy team to look for synergies and trading opportunities with other desks.
Reports into Head of Gas, Power, Carbon, LNG and Energy Structured Products.
