Job summary

Asurion is seeking a Manager of Captive Insurance Accounting to lead a team in its Manila Global Finance Shared Services Center. The role owns end-to-end accounting, including premium recognition, reserves analysis, reinsurance reporting, and regulatory compliance across multiple regions.

As a people leader, you will coach and scale the team, enforce SLAs, drive process improvement, and coordinate with Program Management, FP&A, Legal, and auditors.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, incl. insurance/captive structures.
• 3+ years in people management within a shared services/COE/high-volume setting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP (ASC 944) and statutory accounting.
• Experience with SLA-driven SSC frameworks and KPI reporting.
• Proven ability to manage multi-entity month-end close across jurisdictions.
• Familiarity with finance systems and financial reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close for captive entities across regions.
• Review and approve GL entries, reconciliations, and analytical schedules for reserves and intercompany activity.
• Oversee GAAP and statutory reporting including premium recognition and loss reserves per ASC 944.
• Validate pricing flows through captive financials based on customer contracts.
• Maintain and monitor the financial system to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
