Qualifications

• Master’s degree in materials science, chemistry, applied physics or related physical science.
• Minimum of five years of relevant industrial experience in borate end uses or related sectors.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally ~20–30% of the time.
• Experience leading technically complex projects with a significant commercial component.
• Commercial capability to assess and monitor project viability using market, customer and technical information.
• Clear written, verbal and presentation skills for communicating technical content.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects that develop and commercialize new borate products and applications from concept through completion.
• Produce technical market analyses covering borate end uses, demand drivers, alternatives and regulatory requirements.
• Provide customers with technical support on borate products and applications.
• Generate innovation opportunities and design workshops turning ideas into technical and commercial initiatives.
• Design and deliver customer training and workshops based on identified needs.
• Monitor market developments and external research affecting demand for borates and related products.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Stewardship, Quality and Production to coordinate responsive support.
• Represent U.S. Borax at conferences and industry events across borate end-use sectors.
