The Global Asset Management Manager is a mid-level role responsible for the day-to-day management and optimization of our IT asset and all other assets lifecycle across our global operations. This role focuses on ensuring accurate inventory, maximizing asset utilization, maintaining license compliance, and driving cost efficiencies for both hardware and software assets. Working within established frameworks, the Manager will implement best practices, manage an asset repository, and collaborate with various global teams to support our clients' and internal operational needs efficiently and cost-effectively.
Manage and optimize the complete lifecycle of IT aassets andall other assets (hardware, software, and potentially network equipment) from procurement, deployment, tracking, maintenance, refresh, to secure disposal across multiple global BPO sites and client engagements.
Global Inventory & Tracking: Maintain a highly accurate and up-to-date global IT asset inventoryand all other assetswithin the designated ITAM/CMDB system. Ensure all new assets are recorded, movements tracked, and disposals properly logged.
Monitor and manage software licenses, entitlements, and usage to ensure compliance with vendor agreements (e.g., Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle)
Identify opportunities for license optimization, harvesting, and consolidation to reduce costs and mitigate audit risks across various client and internal environments.
Assist in negotiating and reviewing software contracts and terms specific to BPO service delivery.
Oversee the deployment, redeployment, and maintenance of hardware assets (laptops, desktops, servers, peripherals) for a diverse global workforce supporting multiple clients.
Coordinate with procurement and IT logistics for timely and cost-effective acquisition and distribution of hardware.
Manage hardware refresh cycles and end-of-life processes, ensuring data security and environmental compliance during disposal.
Contribute to and implement standardized global IT asset management policiesanagementand all other assets policies, processes, and procedures that align with ITIL best practices and BPO operational efficiency goals.
Compliance & Audit Support: Assist in preparing for and responding to internal and external software vendor audits. Ensure all asset management practices comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and client-specific SLAs.
Analyze asset data to identify trends, cost‑saving opportunities, and areas for improved efficiency.
Generate regular reports and dashboards on asset utilization, compliance status, spend, and lifecycle metrics for management and relevant stakeholders.
Provide insights to support budgeting and forecasting for IT assets
Coordinate with hardware and software vendors, ensuring contract terms are met, and service levels are maintained. Assist in evaluating new vendors and technologies for asset management.
Work closely with IT Operations, Service Desk, Procurement, Finance, Project Management, and Client-facing teams to ensure seamless asset delivery and support for BPO services.
Administer and optimize the primary IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) tools, ensuring data integrity and system effectiveness.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
3-5 years of progressive experience in IAsset Management (ITAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), Hardware Asset Management (HAM), or a similar role.
Proven experience in a large, multi‑site, global organization.
Experience specifically within a BPO or shared services environment is a significant advantage.
Demonstrated ability to manage IT assets through their full lifecycle.
Proficiency with leading IT Asset Management (ITAM) tools (e.g., ServiceNow ITAM, Flexera, Snow Software, Ivanti, BMC Helix ITSM).
Solid understanding of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) principles and their integration with ITAM.
Familiarity with various software licensing models (per user, per device, per core, cloud subscriptions) for major vendors (Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, VMware, etc.).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in GoogleSheet, Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting; familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting tools is a plus.
Basic understanding of IT infrastructure components (servers, networks, cloud environments) is beneficial.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex asset management concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders across different global cultures.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
