Job summary

Cofense is seeking a Senior Manager, Accounting to lead the global financial close and reporting process and manage a team of accounting professionals. Reporting to the Global Controller, this role owns the monthly, quarterly, and annual close across Cofense's U.S.

and international entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of consolidated financial statements. This hands-on leadership role requires strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to mentor staff, drive process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA license required or actively in progress.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including multi-entity or global consolidation experience; public accounting (audit) background a plus.
• 2+ years of experience directly managing or supervising accounting staff.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including consolidations, intercompany accounting, and foreign currency translation.
• Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP system strongly preferred; SaaS or technology industry experience a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing deadlines across a lean team, with a track record of meeting close timelines under resource constraints.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership and external auditors.
• High attention to detail balanced with the ability to prioritize and delegate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close across all entities, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules prepared by the accounting team.
• Oversee consolidation of international subsidiaries, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation (CTA), and equity-method entries.
• Perform monthly variance analysis on financial results with commentary for senior leadership.
• Own lease accounting under ASC 842, including schedules and disclosures.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors and manage audit requests.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls over the close and reporting process.
