Job summary

WSP in Manila is seeking an Accountant to support the finance department with journal entries, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and statutory reporting across the Global counter-part business. The role reports to the Financial Controller and focuses on accurate financial data and timely close.

Responsibilities include month-end closings, reconciliations, Hyperion submissions, audit support under SOX, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
• CA or CPA qualification, or nearing completion.
• Knowledge of IFRS/AASB and general accounting principles.
• Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in accounting firms or group accounting.
• Familiarity with large ERP systems and financial reporting tools (SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, TM1).
• Strong Excel skills are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
• Strong stakeholder and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform journal entries and adjustments in Oracle.
• Reconcile variances and maintain balance sheet integrity.
• Understand financial statements and data flows in Oracle.
• Prepare and analyze journal entries with accuracy.
• Support month-end close, including project reporting and Hyperion submissions.
• Assist with reviewing P&L to ensure accurate entries and results.
• Prepare reconciliations for Fixed Assets, Payroll, and Accruals.
• Act as SOX-compliant audit liaison and respond to auditor inquiries.
• Support process improvements and involvement in system upgrades.
