Job summary

Axos Business Center, Manila, is seeking a Senior Accountant II to manage journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and oversee third-party transactions in line with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

You will design and support SOX controls, lead cross-functional projects, perform reconciliations, and prepare audit-ready reports for management and external stakeholders, while mentoring peers and staff. The role calls for strong analytical skills and rigorous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Assist in SOX controls and regulatory/compliance work.
• Perform reconciliations and ad-hoc accounting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain records of financial activity in accordance with GAAP and SOX.
• Create internal and external financial reports.
• Complete month-, quarter-, and year-end closings including FX, cash, and tax.
• Ensure documentation meets regulatory requirements.
• Lead cross-functional meetings and present reports to management.
• Research technical accounting issues and propose alternatives.
• Provide audit-ready materials for auditors and executives.
