Job summary

M CATERING AND FINE FOODS in the Philippines seeks a competent General Ledger Supervisor to oversee all activities in the GL accounting section. You will direct month-end close processes, ensure accurate journal entries, and reconcile sub-ledgers to the general ledger.

You will collaborate with IT and business partners to improve controls, automate processes, and support internal and external reporting and audits. The role also involves mentoring the team and delivering timely financial insights.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor of Science in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience as Accounting Supervisor or in a similar role.
• Proficient with MS Office and accounting software/databases.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead GL month-end close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
• Prepare and review Balance Sheet and P&L analyses; investigate variances.
• Assist in preparing internal and external financial reporting schedules.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to establish best practices and drive automation.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls over accounting processes.
• Provide financial insights and timely reporting to stakeholders.
• Support quarterly reviews and external audits.
• Handle ad hoc accounting projects and mentor the team.
