Job summary

MicroSourcing is hiring a GL and Reconciliation Accountant in Pasay, Philippines. This role supports closing of accounting records, prepares reconciliations for bank, intercompany, and credit card accounts, and coordinates with the Accounting Manager for final reports.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 3+ years in accounting, strong Excel and US-time-zone communication, and night-shift availability. Hybrid setup offered with day-one healthcare and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 3 years of general accounting, bank reconciliation, financial statement prep, or month-end close.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel (filters, lookups, pivot tables, reconciliations, variance analysis).
• Strong understanding of debits/credits, accrual accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, GL controls.
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to work with US time zones.
• Night shift availability (1 year minimum).

Responsibilities

• Prepare recurring and adjusting journal entries with calculations, approvals, and documentation.
• Review GL activity for unusual/omitted/ misclassified transactions and propose corrections.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules and reconcile accounts.
• Support monthly close for assigned entities within deadlines.
• Assist with income statement and balance sheet prep and explain movements.
• Prepare timely bank reconciliations for corporate and real estate accounts.
• Reconcile company credit cards and investigate reconciling differences.
• Maintain reconciliation schedules and monthly closing schedules for entities.
• Prepare payroll, prepaid expenses, accruals, fixed assets, and related schedules.
• Assist in cash flow reconciliations and VAT/ tax reporting support.
