Unified Accounting & Tax, LLP is seeking a detail-oriented GL Accountant for a permanent remote role in the Philippines. The position supports cash transactions, reconciliations, and chargeback monitoring, with a focus on BlackLine-based reconciliations.

Strong analytical skills and solid accounting knowledge are essential. The role includes month-end close support, audit-ready documentation, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure accurate transaction processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience in general ledger accounting, cash reconciliations, or a similar role.
• Familiarity with BlackLine or other reconciliation tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform reconciliations of cash disbursement accounts in BlackLine with accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and post general ledger journal entries for cash transactions.
• Monitor and track chargebacks and NSF transactions.
• Investigate and resolve cash discrepancies and reconciling items.
• Ensure cash-related transactions are recorded in the general ledger.
• Maintain reconciliations and supporting docs for audits.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-end close per accounting policies.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented GL Accountant to support general ledger activities related to cash transactions, account reconciliations, and chargeback monitoring. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and experience using BlackLine for account reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform reconciliations of cash disbursement accounts in BlackLine, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Prepare and post general ledger journal entries related to cash transactions.
• Monitor and track chargebacks and non-sufficient funds (NSF) transactions.
• Investigate and resolve cash discrepancies, reconciling items, and outstanding balances.
• Ensure cash-related transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger.
• Maintain supporting documentation and reconciliation schedules for audit purposes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper transaction processing.
• Support month-end close activities and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience in general ledger accounting, cash reconciliations, or a similar accounting role.
• Familiarity with BlackLine or other account reconciliation tools.
• Knowledge of journal entries, cash accounting, chargebacks, and NSF transactions.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and general accounting systems.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
