Job summary

Unified Global is seeking a Senior Accountant in Metro Manila to manage end-to-end accounting processes, including GL maintenance, revenue recognition, and AR management. You will support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with US hours.

Strong Excel skills and ERP experience are essential. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5 years in finance, with CPA preferred and Big 4 exposure considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in finance or accounting or a related area.
• Certified Public Accountant preferred.
• Experience in a Big 4 firm a plus.
• Strong experience in revenue recognition and deferred revenue schedule.
• Industry background: SaaS, ideally in technology/AI experience is a big plus (complex contracts).
• Experience with Sage, Salesforce, QuickBooks Online or any other large-scale ERP preferred.
• Must have strong MS Excel skills (can perform complex formulas and automate processes).
• Experience developing financial reports and metrics.
• Must be willing to work following US hours.

Responsibilities

• Record, verify, consolidate, and enter transactions to ensure accounting integrity.
• Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries from account data.
• Maintain the general ledger; reconcile entries and prepare trial balances.
• Summarize financial status; prepare balance sheet and income statements.
• Manage accounts receivable: invoices, payments, overdue monitoring, and AR reporting.
• Lead internal audit engagements.
• Support external audits by detailing GL accounts for auditors.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements to avoid issues.
• Back up databases and protect confidential financial information.

Job description

• Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions
• Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information
• Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries
• Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements
• Handle AR operations (prepare and send invoices, monitor payments and overdue accounts, keep AR status available; strong experience in revenue recognition and deferred revenue schedules
• Lead internal audit engagements
• Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors
• Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements
• Secures financial information by completing database backups
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
