Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger maintenance across all company accounts.
• Perform month-end closing and prepare financial statements for management.
• Supervise accounts receivable processes including modern trade sales and revenue reconciliation.
• Supervise accounts payable processes from voucher prep to on-time disbursement.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations (bank, inventories, intercompany, fixed assets).
• Lead BIR filings and submissions ensuring deadlines.

About the role

The GL Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely month-end closing, and compliance with statutory requirements. The role leads general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, accounts receivable and payable processes, balance sheet reconciliations, and BIR filings, while supporting the Finance Manager in maintaining strong financial controls and providing accurate information for business decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, and transaction accuracy across all company accounts.
• Perform month-end closing, prepare financial statements, and ensure timely reporting to management for informed decision-making.
• Supervise accounts receivable processes, including modern trade sales and concession-based revenue, ensuring accurate reconciliation and collections.
• Supervise accounts payable processes, from voucher preparation and approvals to on-time disbursement of payments.
• Maintain proper reconciliation of balance sheet accounts (bank, inventories, intercompany balances and transactions, fixed assets, etc.)
• Lead and manage all BIR filings and submissions, ensuring timely compliance with statutory deadlines.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or any related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience leading end-to-end accounting and finance operations in FMCG or consumer goods environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, macros, and dynamic dashboards.
• CPA license is a plus, but all qualified candidates are welcome regardless of professional licensing.
• Familiarity with consignment and eCommerce operations, including sales tracking, revenue recognition, and store-level accounting.
