The GIS Specialist is responsible for collecting, managing, analyzing, and presenting geographic and spatial data to support company operations, planning, and decision-making. The successful candidate will create maps, maintain GIS databases, perform spatial analysis, and work closely with project teams to ensure accurate and reliable geospatial information.
Collect, process, and maintain spatial and geographic data.
Produce high-quality maps, layouts, and GIS reports.
Perform spatial analysis and data interpretation.
Manage and update GIS databases and geodatabases.
Utilize GPS data for mapping and field verification.
Support project planning through geospatial analysis.
Coordinate with engineers, geologists, surveyors, and project teams.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and proper documentation.
Prepare technical reports and presentations as required.
Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geomatics, Geodetic Engineering, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
At least 1-3 years of experience in GIS, mapping, or geospatial analysis (preferred).
Proficient in ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar GIS software.
Experience with GPS equipment and spatial databases is an advantage.
Knowledge of remote sensing and CAD software is a plus.
