The candidate should have a Geodetic Engineering/Geomatics background, hands-on QGIS experience, and an eye for detail. Fresh graduates are welcome; relocation to Las Piñas City is expected. ASAP start.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented GIS Specialist to join our technical team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our GIS Specialists in managing spatial data, verifying land documents, and producing accurate cartographic outputs.
Perform precise plotting of "metes and bounds" using technical descriptions from Transfer Certificates of Title (TCT) and other legal land documents
Assist in reading and interpreting land titles, deeds of sale, and survey plans to ensure data consistency
Utilize QGIS to digitize boundaries, manage vector/raster layers, and perform basic spatial analysis
Assist in the organization and archival of the company's spatial database, ensuring all shapefiles and attributes are accurate and up to date
Conduct initial checks on plotted lots to identify potential overlaps, gaps, or clerical errors in technical descriptions
Assist in preparing thematic maps and layout presentations for internal stakeholders and project updates
Bachelor's Degree in Geodetic Engineering, Geography, Geomatics, Environmental Science, or a related field
Hands-on experience with QGIS (academic projects or internships are acceptable)
Basic understanding of reading land titles and interpreting bearings and distances (metes and bounds)
Strong ability to visualize spatial relationships and identify discrepancies in geographical data
Good written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting
High level of integrity and attention to detail, as accuracy is critical to land mapping
Proficiency in QGIS (plugins, print layouts, and coordinate reference systems) - preferred
Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) is an advantage but not required
Basic understanding of local land registration laws and cadastral mapping standards - preferred
