Job summary

Private Advertiser in the Philippines is seeking a licensed Geodetic Engineer to lead field surveys, establish control points, and prepare plan drawings and topo maps.

You will calculate coordinates, maintain survey data, and coordinate with architects and engineers using CAD/GIS tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Google Earth Pro, and QGIS; experience with GPS-RTK and aerial lidar drone surveys is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or professional license in Geodetic Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of field surveying experience.
• Proficient with GPS-RTK, total station, automatic levels, and aerial LiDAR drone surveys.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys to determine exact position, ground elevations, and establish control points.
• Prepare sketch lot plans, layout plans, topo maps, and as-built drawings.
• Calculate lot data, plot points, and locate exact geographic positions.
• Maintain survey database and references.
• Safekeep surveying equipment and accessories.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, surveyors, planners using computer programs to process data into maps or charts.
• Prepare engineering plans and reports on geodetic activities.
• Use theodolites and transits to measure angles for plotting locations.
• Perform other duties that may be assigned by higher management.

Job description

• Conduct Field surveys to determine exact position, determine ground elevations, established control reference points, and other survey works.
• Prepare sketch lot plans, layout plans, topo maps, engineering as-built drawings &, etc.
• Calculate lot data computations, plot points, and locate exact geographic positions.
• Maintain survey database and other geodetic information & references.
• Safekeep company’s Surveying Equipment and other Surveying tools & accessories.
• Assess the quality of control data to determine the need for additional survey data for engineering, construction, or other projects.
• Coordinating with architects, engineers, surveyors, planners, and other professionals regarding project details using computer programs to process data into maps or charts that can be used by other engineers or architects in their projects.
• Prepare engineering plans and reports on geodetic activities such as developing new measurement techniques or updating existing methods
• Using instruments such as theodolites and transits to measure horizontal and vertical angles to accurately plot locations on maps
• Perform other duties that may be assigned by the higher mgt.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor's/College Degree, Professional License of Engineering (Geodetic), or equivalent.
• At least 5 years (s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Well-experienced in the operation of the latest surveying equipment like GPS-RTK, total station, automatic levels, and aerial lidar drone surveys.
• Computer literate with excellent Knowledge in auto civil 3d, google earth pro, global mapper & QGIS, and other related software.
