• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical certification in electrical, diesel mechanics, or related field is highly preferred.
• 8-10 years of hands-on commercial/industrial experience installing diesel and natural gas generators.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Setup: Rig, position, and anchor diesel or natural gas generators on concrete pads or designated foundations.
• Electrical & Mechanical Connections: Install and wire concrete pads or designated foundations.
• Electrical & Mechanical Connections: Install power cables and wire switchgear, control panels, and conduits.
• Fuel Systems: Connect fuel lines, install fuel tanks, and ensure systems are primed, pressurized, and leak-free.
• Exhaust System: Install muffler and perform retrofitting works.
• Commissioning & Testing: Conduct pre-start checks before handover.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix issues during installation and testing.
• Compliance: Ensure installations meet local electrical/mechanical codes and OSHA safety standards.
• Documentation: Complete commissioning checklists and daily service reports.

Education

Position Summary

The primary focus of this role is to handle the end-to-end physical, mechanical/ electrical, and installation of generator sets, power cables, muffler assembly and fuel day tank. He will work closely with project managers/engineers and clients to ensure all equipment is set up according to manufacturer specifications, electrical and mechanical codes, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Setup: Rig, position, and anchor diesel or natural gas generators on concrete pads or designated structural foundations.
• Electrical & Mechanical Connections: Install and wire concrete pads or designated structural foundations.
• Electrical & Mechanical Connections: Install power cables and wire switchgear, control panels, and conduits.
• Fuel Systems: Connect fuel lines, install fuel tanks, and ensure systems are properly primed, pressurized, and free of leaks.
• Exhaust System: Intensive knowledge in muffler installation and retrofitting works.
• Commissioning & Testing: Conduct thorough pre-start checks to ensure optimal performance prior to client handover.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix any mechanical or electrical issues that occur during the initial installation and testing phase.
• Compliance: Ensure all installations meet local electrical and mechanical codes, environmental regulations, and OSHA/safety standards.
• Documentation: Complete commissioning checklists, and accurate daily service reports.
