Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as Safety Manager in manufacturing/logistics.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Services and Safety Manager to join our team at Sumi Philippines Wiring Systems Corporation in Hermosa, Bataan. As the Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing comprehensive safety programs to ensure the wellbeing of our employees and compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations. This full-time, on-site role is crucial in maintaining our strong safety culture and driving continuous improvement in our manufacturing operations.

What you'll be doing

1. Developing, implementing and monitoring safety policies, procedures and training programs to promote a safe working environment

2. Conducting regular risk assessments, job safety analyses and incident investigations to identify and mitigate workplace hazards

3. Providing guidance and support to all departments on occupational health and safety matters

4. Ensuring compliance with all applicable health, safety and environmental legislation and regulations

5. Collaborating with the management team to set and achieve safety performance targets

6. Delivering effective safety training and promoting a positive safety culture across the organisation

7. Maintaining detailed records and preparing comprehensive safety reports

8. Staying up-to-date with industry best practices and implementing continuous improvement initiatives

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Manager or in a similar role within the manufacturing, transport or logistics industry

2. Thorough understanding of occupational health and safety regulations, hazard identification and risk management principles

3. Comprehensive knowledge of multiple regulatory frameworks including Philippine DOLE standards, international automotive safety requirements, and industry-specific occupational health and safety regulations is essential

4. Proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and manage safety-related projects

5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels

6. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and analytical skills

7. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science or a related field

8. Any bachelor's degree qualification will be considered for this position

9. Candidates with any bachelor's degree will be considered for this position

10. Certification in occupational health and safety is highly desirable

This position encompasses both Safety Manager and General Services responsibilities as a combined role.

A minimum of 5 years of General Affairs experience is required for this combined role.
