About the role

The General Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The role ensures compliance with accounting standards (such as PFRS), supervises accounting processes and staff, and provides timely and accurate financial reports to management. This position also plays a key role in improving accounting systems and processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting activities, including journal entries, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, inventory accounting, and tax-related processes
• Review accounting transactions and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Monitor and resolve accounting discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records
• Oversee bank reconciliations, balance sheet schedules, and account analyses
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Supervise and review reconciliation activities and ensure prompt resolution of outstanding items
• Manage and coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure all accounts are properly updated and finalized
• Ensure accurate data entry and integrity in accounting systems
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and accounting standards
• Ensure compliance with PFRS and other relevant regulatory requirements

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Information Systems, Finance, or related field
• At least 3–5 years of accounting/audit firm experience, with 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
• Strong knowledge of general accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP (ECC or S/4HANA)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
• Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management abilities
