Mega Prime Foods is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our General Accounting team in the Philippines. You will manage General Ledger, perform month-end close, prepare financial statements, and ensure tax and regulatory compliance across our FMCG operations.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of experience in general accounting or external audit, a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, and a CPA license is highly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Manage General Ledger & Month-End Closing: post journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and close books on time.
• Prepare Financial Statements & Reporting: draft Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow with adherence to PFRS.
• Perform Account Reconciliations & Variance Analysis: reconcile statements and investigate variances.
• Support Tax Compliance & Statutory Filings: prepare data for VAT, withholding, and other local taxes; assist with submissions (BIR/SEC).
• Audit Support & Internal Controls: assist audits with documentation and adherence to SOPs.

At Mega Prime Foods, bringing high-quality food products to millions of Filipino homes relies on sound financial management, strict internal controls, and accurate reporting. We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Accounting Specialist to join our General Accounting team.

Reporting to the General Accounting Manager / Lead, you will play a central role in managing general ledger operations, executing month-end closing procedures, preparing financial statements, and ensuring full compliance with tax and regulatory standards across our expanding FMCG business.

What You Will Do

• Manage General Ledger & Month-End Closing: Oversee day-to-day general accounting operations, post journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and execute month-end and year-end closing activities accurately and on time.

• Prepare Financial Statements & Reporting: Assist in drafting comprehensive financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) and management reports in compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).

• Perform Account Reconciliations & Variance Analysis: Reconcile bank statements, intercompany accounts, prepaid expenses, and accruals—investigating and resolving financial variances promptly.

• Support Tax Compliance & Statutory Filings: Prepare data and working papers for local and national tax returns (VAT, withholding taxes, income tax) and statutory submissions (BIR, SEC, PEZA/LGU requirements as applicable).

• Audit Support & Internal Controls: Serve as a key point of contact during internal and external audit engagements, providing necessary schedules, documentation, and ensuring strict adherence to company financial SOPs.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: 2–3 years of solid experience in General Accounting, Financial Reporting, or External Audit, ideally within FMCG, Food Manufacturing, Retail, or a fast-paced corporate environment.

• Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is highly preferred.

• Financial & Tax Mastery: Strong technical knowledge of PFRS/PAS, general ledger operations, balance sheet reconciliations, and Philippine tax laws/compliance (BIR regulations).

• ERP & Systems Proficiency: Hands-on experience working with enterprise ERP software (specifically SAP) and advanced proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets (financial modeling, VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).

• Attention to Detail & Ethics: High standard of accuracy, integrity, analytical mindset, and the ability to manage strict reporting deadlines under minimal supervision.

• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional finance teams, operations, and external auditors.
