Job summary

Viventis Search Asia is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment in the Philippines.

You will lead a team, manage month-end and year-end closes, ensure PFRS compliance and accurate tax reporting, coordinate audits, and work with other departments to maintain robust internal controls and reliable financial records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field, CPA preferred.
• 5–8 years accounting experience with supervisory or managerial responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of PFRS, taxation, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, retail, or distribution is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and address audit findings.
• Monitor inventory accounting, cost accounting, and account reconciliations.
• Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes.
• Lead and develop the accounting team.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial records and reporting.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Candidates with experience in SGV & Co. (EY), PwC Philippines, Deloitte Philippines, or KPMG Philippines, particularly in external audit, assurance, or financial reporting.
• Experience in a large-scale business with multiple branches, inventory, or distribution operations is an advantage.
• Candidates with a combination of Big Four audit experience and industry accounting experience are highly desirable.
