Job summary

Bank of China (Hong Kong) is seeking a Finance Officer in the Philippines to provide timely financial information and ensure compliance with guidelines and regulatory policies. The role covers expenses processing, tax filings, reporting, fixed asset management, float management, and procurement.

You will maintain accurate records, prepare reports, monitor budgets and balances, and support Head Office submissions.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance/Accountancy.
• At least 2 years’ experience in banking/financial institutions.
• Background in accounting/banking or related area preferred.

Job description

Role Purpose / Objective: To provide financial information on a timely manner and ensure compliance of the bank withy all applicable financial guidelines, financial management processes, applicable standards and regulatory policies as well as proper maintenance of financial records.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Expense processing and payment

• Responsible for times and accurate processing and recording of expenses
• Responsible for the processing of expense payments in FMS system
• Responsible for filing the relevant invoices, expense tickets, receipts and other vouchers
• Responsible for monitoring the outstanding AR/AP balances
• Responsible for creating the reports related to expenses

2. Expense monitoring

• Responsible for expenses budget analysis of the branch on the monthly basis
• Responsible for department expenses budget monitor on the monthly basis

3. Tax

• Responsible for the preparation of regular tax filings, payments, and booking in a timely and accurate manner
• Responsible for documentation and safekeeping of tax payment and tax entries preparation.

4. Reporting

• Responsible for communicating long outstanding balances to concerned departments actions
• Responsible for ensuring that bank reconciling items are timely addressed and corrected
• Responsible for submission of Head Office reports within the deadline

5. Fixed Asset Management

• Responsible for fixed asset maintenance in FMS
• Responsible for overseeing the inventory count of FFE items and ensuring reconciliation with Accounting records.
• Responsible for creating the reports related to fixed assets.

6. Float Management

• Responsible for monitoring and resolving float items related to the department

7. Procurement

• Responsible for ensuring compliance to bank's procurement policies and procedures
• Responsible for reviewing and updating of policies and procedure related to procurement, expenses and supplier management.

Job Specifications

• University degree in Finance/ Accountancy
• with background in accounting/banking/management of financial institutions or other related areas
• At least 2 years’ experience gained form the above industry
