The Finance and Accounting Officer is responsible for managing day‑to‑day financial operations, maintaining accurate records, monitoring inventory, preparing timely financial reports, and supporting administrative functions. This role is vital in ensuring transparent financial processes and informed decision-making through data‑driven analysis and trend forecasting.
The officer will maintain accurate and up‑to‑date financial records, including the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations. They will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, assist in budget preparation and monitoring, and ensure compliance with tax laws, statutory regulations, and internal financial policies. This role also includes liaising with auditors and tax consultants, preparing and filing tax returns on time, and monitoring changes in tax laws to ensure ongoing compliance.
The role includes monitoring and managing inventory levels, reconciling inventory records, and conducting physical inventory counts. The officer will also be responsible for maintaining accurate asset records and ensuring the procurement process is properly documented and efficient.
The officer will analyze financial data to support strategic decisions, generate reports that highlight performance indicators and budget variances, and forecast cash flow, revenue trends, and future budget needs.
This role involves overseeing administrative systems and processes, handling procurement of supplies, supporting HR tasks, and providing logistical and operational support as needed.
