Job Summary:
The Accounting Officer is responsible for managing and monitoring the organization’s financial transactions, with a focus on accounts payable and receivable, billing and collection, payroll, and receipts. The role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial records in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee accounts payable processes, including verification, posting, and timely payment of invoices
Manage accounts receivable, ensuring accurate billing, recording, and prompt collection of outstanding accounts
Prepare and process billing statements and collection reports
Handle and process payroll transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payroll disbursement
Record and reconcile receipts, deposits, and other incoming funds
Maintain and update financial records and ledgers
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in financial records
Support audits and provide necessary documentation as required
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies
Coordinate with other departments to resolve financial issues
Contribute to process improvements and the implementation of best practices in financial operations
Qualifications:
