Job summary

Primover Consultancy Services, Inc. in Manila is seeking an experienced accountant to join the finance team. You will support the general ledger, month-end close, journal entries, and financial reporting processes with a focus on accuracy and controls.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in accounting/finance (CPA is a plus), 2–4 years in general accounting, strong MS Excel and ERP skills, and a meticulous, analytical approach to ensure compliant and timely financial statements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field; CPA is an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems with knowledge of PAS/PFRS.
• 2–4 years of relevant general accounting experience with hands-on GL, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end/year-end closing.
• Experience in financial reporting support, fixed asset accounting, and audit requirements.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger, reconciliations, closing, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and attention-to-detail skills with knowledge of accounting controls and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Record, review, and maintain accurate general ledger transactions and balances.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, provisions, reclassifications, and adjustments.
• Perform regular reconciliations of assigned general ledger and balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Execute month-end and year-end closing activities within deadlines.
• Prepare accounting schedules and supporting reports for monthly and annual reporting.
• Maintain accurate accounting records for fixed assets, depreciation, prepayments, and other accounts.
• Ensure transactions and records are properly documented and compliant with standards and company policies.
• Provide schedules, reconciliations, and documents for internal and external audits.
