Job summary

Diseño MNL Construction Corp. (DMCC) in Metro Manila is seeking an Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial records, and project-related accounting in a growing construction firm.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of independent work, handling statutory requirements and collaborating with Procurement, Engineering, and HR teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day general accounting activities, including recording, reviewing, and reconciling financial transactions.
• Prepare and maintain accurate general ledgers, journals, accounts payable/receivable, and other accounting records.
• Prepare monthly and periodic financial reports, schedules, reconciliations, and supporting accounting documents.
• Monitor and reconcile cash, bank accounts, receivables, payables, advances, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Process and monitor invoices, billings, collections, payments, disbursements, and supporting documentation.
• Monitor project-related costs, expenses, purchases, subcontractor payments, and other construction-related transactions.
• Maintain proper accounting records and cost monitoring for individual construction projects.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Engineering, Project Management, HR, and other departments regarding financial and accounting requirements.
• Assist in budgeting, cash flow monitoring, project cost tracking, and financial analysis.
• Prepare and/or review payroll-related accounting entries and coordinate with HR regarding employee compensation, deductions, and statutory contributions.

(DMCC) is looking for an Accountant to handle the company's day-to-day general accounting operations, financial records, project-related accounting, and statutory requirements. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of independently managing accounting activities for a growing construction company.

Key responsibilities

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• At least 4 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Strong experience in general accounting and financial recordkeeping.

• Experience in a construction, engineering, contracting, or project-based company is a strong advantage.

• Knowledge of project cost accounting, job costing, construction expenses, subcontractor billing, and project-related financial monitoring is an advantage.

• Knowledge of Philippine accounting, taxation, and statutory requirements.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Able to work independently and manage multiple accounting requirements and deadlines.
