About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Accountant with a preference for candidates familiar with the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting and a proven ability to navigate the financial intricacies of the construction and facade sector.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the organization and record daily financial transactions
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Generate regular financial reports for management review
• Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts and monitor budgetary performance
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions and ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and receipts
• Track project costs and expenses, particularly in the construction and facade sectors, and conduct cost analysis
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, industry regulations, and company policies
• Assist in payroll processing, including the calculation of wages, taxes, and deductions
• Utilize accounting software for efficient financial management and stay updated on industry-specific accounting tools
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and insights

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proven experience as a General Accountant, preferably in the construction or facade industry
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills
