Green Sun Hotel Management, Inc. is seeking a General Accountant/Accounting Supervisor to support the Accounting Head in daily operations of the accounting department. The role ensures accurate financial reporting and compliance with standards while effectively managing the accounting team.
You will handle AR, journal entries, bank reconciliations, month-end/year-end closings, and coordinate with external auditors. Strong leadership and hotel industry familiarity are preferred.
We are looking for an General Accountant/Accounting Supervisor to assist the Accounting Head to oversee the daily operations of the accounting department. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective management of the accounting team. Likewise, supports the organization’s financial health and operational efficiency.
Finance and Accounting
Prepare and review Accounts Receivable Aging Reports and follow up on outstanding
collections.
Prepare and review journal entries for various accounting transactions.
Supervise and maintain accounts receivable records.
Reconcile sales invoices against collection receipts to ensure accuracy.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Review financial reports and ensure accuracy of general ledger balances.
Treasury Accounting
Monitor daily bank balances to manage company cash positions.
Oversee and monitor daily sales transactions.
Prepare and review monthly bank reconciliations.
Supervise receipting and collection functions.
Oversee disbursement and accounts payable processes when required.
Tax and Statutory Compliance
Monitor and track Certificates of Withholding Tax issued by customers for proper tax documentation and compliance.
Asset Management
Supervise physical inventory accounting and maintain records of all company assets.
Administrative and Supervisory Functions
Provide administrative accounting support and ensure compliance with company financial policies.
Assist management in financial monitoring, reporting, and internal controls.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
Coordinate with external auditors during audits.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Hotel system) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
