Job summary

Alliance Auto & Truck Rebuilder'S Inc is seeking a General Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, maintain the general ledger, and ensure accurate financial reporting in line with IFRS and local tax rules.

The role requires 5–10 years of accounting experience; a CPA license is an advantage, with strong Excel and ERP system skills. You will supervise staff, participate in budgeting and audits, and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
• 5 – 10 years of relevant accounting experience.
• CPA license is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and local tax regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks); SAP experience is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and review general accounting functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain and monitor general ledger accounts ensure all transactions are recorded in accordance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS).
• Review and validate accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expense reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Support external and internal audits, providing necessary schedules and documentation.
• Ensure tax and statutory compliance, including filing of VAT, withholding tax, and other government reports.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data accuracy.
• Supervise, mentor, and train junior accounting staff to promote efficiency and professional growth.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Accounting Manager or Finance Head.
