Job summary

Connext is seeking a Fund Accountant to support the client’s accounting team. The role involves assisting with the monthly accounting process, reviewing cash and position breaks, preparing expense schedules, and posting journal entries.

You will collaborate with the offshore reconciliation team to resolve breaks and support trustee reports and distribution letters for stakeholders. Ideal candidates have fund accounting experience, NAV calculation expertise, and a solid background in investment

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in fund accounting.
Background in hedge funds and private equity.
Experience with NAV calculation and preparation.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.

Responsibilities

Review cash and position breaks within the accounting system.
Prepare expense schedules for accurate financial reporting.
Post journal entries to maintain up-to-date records.
Collaborate with the offshore reconciliation team to identify and resolve breaks.
Review trustee reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Prepare distribution letters and support packages for stakeholders.
Assist with various ad hoc projects as needed to support team objectives.
