Job summary

IPHIOS Logistics Corp. is seeking an experienced Airfreight Manager to lead our expanding department in Manila and NAIA operations. The role focuses on directing daily import/export operations, ensuring compliance, and delivering top-tier service to customers.

You will develop SOPs, implement KPIs, and manage airline/co-loader relationships while training staff and optimizing process quality and profitability.

Qualifications

IPHIOS Logistics Corp. is expanding its international freight forwarding services and is looking for an experienced Airfreight Manager to lead and develop our growing Airfreight Department.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on international airfreight forwarding experience
• Strong experience in both Air Import and Air Export operations
• Must have practical knowledge of:
• MAWB and HAWB preparation and checking
• Air consolidation and deconsolidation
• Airline and co-loader bookings
• Cargo cut-offs and flight monitoring
• NAIA air cargo operations
• CDEC / eTrade / VASP air manifest processes
• e-CCM / HAWB manifesting
• Import and export documentation
• Chargeable and volumetric weight computation
• Airline/co-loader rate sourcing
• Pre-alert preparation and overseas-agent coordination
• Shipment irregularities, offloads, rebooking, delays and documentation discrepancies
• Good understanding of IATA cargo procedures, airline requirements and customs compliance
• Familiarity with Dangerous Goods and special cargo handling requirements
• Experience managing and training an airfreight operations team
• Capable of developing SOPs, operational controls and KPIs
• Strong problem-solving, leadership and decision-making skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and freight forwarding / cargo management systems
• Bachelor’s degree in Customs Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Aviation or related field preferred
• Licensed Customs Broker is an advantage but not required
• IATA Cargo, Dangerous Goods or other relevant air cargo certifications are an advantage

Key Responsibilities

The Airfreight Manager will lead the entire Airfreight Department and oversee daily import and export operations, documentation, manifesting, airline/co-loader coordination, pricing support, compliance, customer service and operational performance.

The role will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining department SOPs, supervising HAWB/MAWB controls, monitoring CDEC manifest submissions, handling operational escalations, developing airline and overseas-agent relationships, training staff, and monitoring service quality and profitability.

Preferred Candidate

We are looking for someone who has actually handled airfreight shipments from start to finish, not purely supervisory or documentation experience.

Candidates with previous experience working for an international freight forwarder, IATA cargo agent, airline cargo operation or established airfreight department will be highly preferred.

Compensation

₱60,000 per month, depending on experience, qualifications and actual airfreight capability.

For an exceptional candidate who already has strong airline/co-loader relationships, CDEC/VASP expertise and department-building experience, you can keep the package negotiable above the stated range.
