In this role you will prepare declarations, liaise with authorities, coordinate with warehouses and freight providers, advise clients, maintain records, and drive efficient, compliant shipments for our growing client base.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in customs brokerage or freight forwarding is required.
• In-depth knowledge of Philippine customs regulations and tariff codes.
• Experience with import/export documentation and bills of lading.

About the role

MOF Company (Subic), Inc. is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Supervisor to join our Logistics, freight and cargo forwarding operations. This is a full-time position based in Pasay City, Metro Manila. As a Freight Forwarding Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the smooth movement of goods across international borders by ensuring full compliance with customs regulations and documentation requirements. This position is essential to our operations, directly impacting our client relationships, revenue generation, and the efficiency of our supply chain services.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and submitting customs documentation and declarations for import and export shipments
• Liaising with customs authorities to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and tariff classifications
• Managing the clearance process for freight and cargo shipments, including coordinating with relevant government agencies
• Calculating and arranging payment of duties, taxes, and other charges associated with customs clearance
• Maintaining detailed records of all customs transactions and documentation for audit purposes
• Advising clients on customs procedures, tariff classifications, and regulatory compliance matters
• Coordinating with warehouse operators, freight forwarders, and transport providers to expedite cargo movement
• Resolving discrepancies and issues that arise during the customs clearance process
• Staying current with changes in customs regulations and international trade laws
• Managing relationships with customs brokers, shipping lines, and other industry partners

What we're looking for

• Valid License as a Customs Broker issued by the Bureau of Customs of the Philippines
• At least two (2) years of experience in customs brokerage or freight forwarding operations
• In-depth knowledge of Philippine customs regulations, tariff codes, and import/export procedures
• Strong understanding of international trade documentation including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin
• Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills, with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
• Proficiency in customs clearance software and computer systems commonly used in the industry
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to interact effectively with government officials and clients
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with Subic Bay Free Zone regulations and special trade zone procedures is advantageous
