Private Advertiser is seeking a meticulous Forensic Auditor (CPA) to join our financial oversight team on an urgent basis. You will investigate cash discrepancies, stock leakage, and POS anomalies across restaurant branches and F&B operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct forensic audits across cash handling, POS, purchasing, inventory, and store-level records.
• Identify discrepancies, shrinkage, unauthorized discounts, void abuses, or unrecorded sales.
• Perform unannounced cash counts, inventory spot checks, and store-level audits.
• Lead confidential investigations into suspected fraud or misconduct; prepare evidentiary reports.
• Reconcile daily sales, POS, and third-party payouts.
• Analyze cost variances, waste logs, yield, and recipe costing for leakage detection.
• Review vendor contracts and invoices to prevent over-billing or fraud.
• Evaluate internal control policies across locations and suggest improvements.
• Create standardized audit checklists for managers and cashiers.
• Provide risk assessment reports to leadership highlighting red flags.

About the role

We are seeking a highly meticulous, analytical, and experienced Forensic Auditor (Certified Public Accountant) to join our financial oversight team on an urgent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for investigating cash discrepancies, stock leakage, POS transaction anomalies, inventory shrinkage, and internal control lapses across our restaurant branches and F&B operations. The ideal candidate possesses deep auditing expertise within retail or restaurant environments and can identify operational vulnerabilities, investigate potential fraud, and implement robust control measures to safeguard company assets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed forensic audits across cash handling, POS terminals, purchasing, inventory management, and store-level financial records.

• Identify patterns of financial discrepancies, inventory shrinkage, unauthorized discounts, void abuses, or unrecorded sales.

• Perform unannounced cash counts, inventory spot checks, and store-level operational audits.

• Lead confidential internal investigations into suspected fraud, theft, or employee misconduct, compiling court-ready or executive-level evidentiary reports.

• Reconcile daily sales reports, POS registers, and third-party delivery platform payouts.

• Analyze food & beverage cost variances, waste logs, yield ratios, and recipe costing accuracy to pinpoint inventory leakages.

• Review vendor contracts, purchase orders, receiving reports, and supplier invoices to prevent over-billing or fraudulent procurement practices.

• Evaluate existing internal control policies across all restaurant locations and recommend corrective measures.

• Design and implement standardized operational audit checklists for store managers and cashiers.

• Provide risk assessment reports to executive leadership highlighting operational red flags and financial exposure.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required
• Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in internal audit, forensic auditing, or financial investigation, preferably within the restaurant, retail, hospitality, or fast-paced F&B industry
• Advanced knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems, POS back-end databases, and inventory software
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, data pivot tables, variance modeling)
• Familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or specialized restaurant management platforms)
• High integrity, objective mindset, strong investigative instinct, and absolute discretion in handling confidential financial data
• Must reside in Angeles City, Pampanga or adjacent surrounding areas (e.g., Mabalacat, San Fernando, Clark)
• Must be able to start immediately upon selection
