Aboitiz Foods is seeking a Safety Specialist to implement and continuously improve the company’s Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) programs within its feed milling operation. You will conduct inspections, risk assessments, audits, and coordinate with DOLE and BFP while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.

The role requires leading safety trainings, managing PTWs, and promoting a proactive safety culture across employees and contractors.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 40-hour (BOSH) basic OSH training.
• DOLE-accredited/qualified Safety Officer with SO3 level.
• Preferably, BOSH training and COSH training.
• Knowledge of ISO Management Systems, GMP, 5S, and Quality Management Systems is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) regulatory compliance.
• Good public speaking and presentation skills.
• Good communication skills in English and vernacular.

Aufgaben

• Recommend, implement, and maintain safety, health, and environmental policies and standards for feed mill operations.
• Conduct routine safety inspections, hazard identification, risk assessments, and audits.
• Identify hazards related to machinery, electrical systems, dust, noise, chemicals, confined spaces, heights, and material handling.
• Monitor implementation of the hierarchy of controls (engineering, admin, PPE).
• Ensure machine guarding, lockout/tagout, fire protection, and signage are properly implemented.
• Develop safety training programs, toolbox talks, and drills for employees and contractors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Coordinate inspections and regulatory submissions with DOLE, BFP, and other agencies.
