Aboitiz Foods is seeking a Safety Specialist to lead occupational Safety, Health and Environmental programs across our feed mill operations. You will ensure compliance with DOLE, BFP, and other regulatory standards, conduct inspections, risk assessments, and audits to prevent accidents and incidents.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or environmental science, OSH certifications, and the ability to train staff, review procedures, and coordinate with regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 40-hour (BOSH) OSH training.
• DOLE-accredited Safety Officer certification (SO3 preferred).
• COSH and Scaffolding safety training an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Recommend and maintain Safety, Health and Environmental policies, programs and standards for feed mill operations.
• Conduct routine safety inspections, hazard identification and risk assessments; perform compliance audits.
• Identify hazards in machinery, electrical systems, dust, chemicals, confined spaces, working at heights, and material handling.
• Implement hierarchy of controls including engineering, administrative controls and PPE.
• Ensure machine guarding, lockout/tagout and fire protection systems are properly implemented and maintained.
• Develop safety training and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses; determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate inspections and regulatory submissions to DOLE, BFP and other agencies.
