Job summary

SGS Philippines is seeking a detail-oriented Inspector to perform quantity and quality checks on various products in line with company standards and client requirements. You will coordinate with teams and clients, prepare inspection reports, and ensure proper documentation before fieldwork.

Ideal candidates are college graduates with GMP/HACCP/ISO knowledge, strong communication, and proficiency in MS Office. Willingness to travel across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao is required.

Qualifications

• College graduate; preferably with GMP/HACCP/ISO food standards exposure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are required.
• Proficient with MS Office suite for reporting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Performs quantity and quality inspection or verification of various products and goods per company standards and client requirements.
• Prepares and submits complete inspection reports with properly labeled samples.
• Coordinates with team and clients on schedules and information pertinent to the job.
• Provides feedback on status/progress to supervisor on a regular basis.
• Performs other related duties to support departmental goals and training.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

• Performs quantity and quality inspection or verification of various products and goods in accordance with company standards, legal and client requirements.
• Performs retail inspection for specific key account clients.

Specific Responsibilities

• Ensures all the necessary forms, materials, equipment, and/or other requirements needed to perform the job are complete and prepared before proceeding to the work site.
• Coordinates with team and clients, when necessary on schedules and other information pertinent to the job.
• Conducts inspection or verification work (reference: Verification Matrix of Inspection Work) according to company standard, procedures and client requirements or agreed job scope and specifications.
• Provides feedback and updates on the status or progress of the job to his/her immediate superior on a regular basis.
• Prepares and submits complete and accurate inspection reports including properly labeled samples.
• Performs other related duties as may be assigned either in support of departmental goal or for his/her personal or professional training, education or development as programmed by his/her immediate superior.

Qualifications

• College graduate (BS Food Technology, BS Agriculture, Sciences and Engineering courses and related courses).

Experience/Technical Knowledge

• Has good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Has good keyboard skills – MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Powerpoint
• Preferably with training onGMP/HACCP/ISO Standards related to Food
• Preferably with experience in Food Service/Retail/Commisary

Additional Information

• Must be willing to travel (Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao)
