Job summary

SGS is seeking a QA Inspector to perform quantity and quality inspections and verifications in line with client and regulatory requirements. The role covers retail inspections for key accounts and requires coordination with teams and clients on schedules and job scope.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant bachelor's degree and demonstrates strong communication, keyboard and MS Office skills, with preferred exposure to GMP/HACCP/ISO standards.

Qualifications

• College graduate in Food technology, agriculture, sciences or engineering.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient keyboard skills in MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with GMP/HACCP/ISO standards in food is preferred.
• Experience in Food Service, Retail or Commissary is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs quantity and quality inspection or verification of products per company standards and client requirements.
• Performs retail inspection for key account clients.
• Ensures necessary forms, materials, equipment and information are prepared before work.
• Coordinates with team and clients on schedules and relevant information.
• Conducts inspection work according to procedures and client specs.
• Provides feedback and updates to supervisor regularly.
• Prepares and submits inspection reports with properly labeled samples.
• Performs other related duties as assigned for department goals or development.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

• Performs quantity and quality inspection or verification of various products and goods in accordance with company standards, legal and client requirements.
• Performs retail inspection for specific key account clients.

Specific Responsibilities

• Ensures all the necessary forms, materials, equipment, and/or other requirements needed to perform the job are complete and prepared before proceeding to the work site.
• Coordinates with team and clients, when necessary on schedules and other information pertinent to the job.
• Conducts inspection or verification work (reference: Verification Matrix of Inspection Work) according to company standard, procedures and client requirements or agreed job scope and specifications.
• Provides feedback and updates on the status or progress of the job to his/her immediate superior on a regular basis.
• Prepares and submits complete and accurate inspection reports including properly labeled samples.
• Performs other related duties as may be assigned either in support of departmental goal or for his/her personal or professional training, education or development as programmed by his/her immediate superior.

Qualifications

• College graduate (BS Food Technology, BS Agriculture, Sciences and Engineering courses and related courses).

Experience/Technical Knowledge

• Has good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Has good keyboard skills – MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Powerpoint
• Preferably with training onGMP/HACCP/ISO Standards related to Food
• Preferably with experience in Food Service/Retail/Commisary

Additional Information

• Must be willing to travel (Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao)
