Job summary

SGS & Co in Makati is seeking a detail‑oriented inspector to verify quantities and quality across various products, supporting key accounts. You will ensure all forms and equipment are ready, coordinate with teams and clients on schedules, and prepare accurate inspection reports with clearly labeled samples.

The role emphasizes communication and GMP/HACCP/ISO awareness and may involve travel within Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Qualifications

• College graduate in Food Technology, Agriculture, sciences or engineering.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Preferably with GMP/HACCP/ISO training related to Food.
• Preferably with experience in Food Service/Retail/Commissary.

Responsibilities

• Performs quantity and quality inspection or verification per company standards and client requirements.
• Performs retail inspection for key account clients.
• Ensures forms, materials, equipment, and other requirements are prepared before the work site.
• Coordinates with team and clients on schedules and information pertinent to the job.
• Conducts inspection or verification work according to standards and client requirements.
• Prepares and submits complete inspection reports with properly labeled samples.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

• Performs quantity and quality inspection or verification of various products and goods in accordance with company standards, legal and client requirements.
• Performs retail inspection for specific key account clients.

Specific Responsibilities

• Ensures all the necessary forms, materials, equipment, and/or other requirements needed to perform the job are complete and prepared before proceeding to the work site.
• Coordinates with team and clients, when necessary on schedules and other information pertinent to the job.
• Conducts inspection or verification work (reference: Verification Matrix of Inspection Work) according to company standard, procedures and client requirements or agreed job scope and specifications.
• Provides feedback and updates on the status or progress of the job to his/her immediate superior on a regular basis.
• Prepares and submits complete and accurate inspection reports including properly labeled samples.
• Performs other related duties as may be assigned either in support of departmental goal or for his/her personal or professional training, education or development as programmed by his/her immediate superior.

Qualifications

• College graduate (BS Food Technology, BS Agriculture, Sciences and Engineering courses and related courses).

Experience/Technical Knowledge

• Has good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Has good keyboard skills – MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Powerpoint
• Preferably with training onGMP/HACCP/ISO Standards related to Food
• Preferably with experience in Food Service/Retail/Commisary

Additional Information

• Must be willing to travel (Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao)
• Hybrid Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (8 am - 5 pm)
