Overview

The Fleet Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the company's fleet operations to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient vehicle management. This includes overseeing maintenance, auditing vehicle usage, and focusing on improving fleet operations. One of the primary responsibilities is monitoring fuel consumption per kilometer to ensure optimal vehicle usage.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate the maintenance and repairs of vehicles.
• Inspect and monitor the condition of vehicles to ensure their safety and readiness for operations.
• Monitor and analyze fuel consumption per kilometer for each vehicle and provide reports on any abnormal consumption patterns.
• Audit expenses such as fuel, toll fees, and other operational costs to ensure proper resource utilization.
• Prepare and submit reports on fleet operations and performance.
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections to identify repair or maintenance needs.
• Coordinate with drivers and other fleet personnel for smooth planning and operations.
• Ensure that vehicles have complete documentation, such as registration, insurance, and other legal requirements.
• Liaise with third-party suppliers or service providers for repair and maintenance services for the fleet.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in fleet management or a similar position.
• Knowledge of vehicle operations and maintenance processes.
• Ability to plan, schedule, and manage tasks effectively.
• Strong communication and operational planning skills.
• High level of organization and decision-making ability.
• Knowledge of vehicle regulations and laws (e.g., registration, insurance).
• Experience using fleet management software (e.g., Fleet Complete, Geotab) is a plus.
• Knowledge of warehouse and logistics processes is an advantage.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (if required).
• Ability to monitor fuel consumption per kilometer and provide analysis or recommendations for improving fuel efficiency.
