  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end close activities for fixed assets, including depreciation, accumulated depreciation, work in progress, and asset register accuracy.
  • Process fixed asset transactions per procedures and control requirements.
  • Support fixed asset projects and related accounting activities, ensuring proper documentation and timely execution.
  • Partner with stakeholders to support global fixed asset processes and resolve issues.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests with clear communication and timelines.
  • Develop and maintain operating procedures and identify opportunities to streamline controls.
  • Build understanding of book of work and deliverable ownership.
  • Identify and drive process improvement, including standardization and efficiency.
  • Maintain robust stakeholder management and proactive risk handling.
  • Establish and maintain backup coverage for critical deliverables.

Job summary

As a Fixed Assets Specialist in TBD, you will support fixed asset accounting operations and month-end close deliverables while strengthening controls and improving processes. You will process fixed asset transactions and support fixed asset projects, partner with stakeholders to resolve issues, and help ensure timely, accurate outcomes.

Job responsibilities
  • Perform month-end close activities for fixed assets, including depreciation, accumulated depreciation, work in progress, and fixed asset register completeness and accuracy
  • Process fixed asset transactions in line with documented procedures and control requirements
  • Support fixed asset projects and related accounting activities, ensuring proper documentation and timely execution
  • Partner with stakeholders to support global fixed asset processes and resolve operational issues as needed
  • Respond to ad hoc requests aligned to stakeholder expectations, maintaining clear communication and agreed timelines
  • Develop and maintain documented operating procedures (TBD: confirm term formerly referenced as “DOP”) and identify opportunities to streamline controls and execution
  • Build thorough understanding of the book of work and role scope to ensure clear deliverable ownership and continuity
  • Identify and drive process improvement opportunities, including standardization and efficiency enhancements
  • Maintain strong stakeholder management by clarifying expectations, providing updates, and proactively addressing risks and dependencies
  • Establish and maintain robust backup coverage to ensure continuity for critical deliverables
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
  • 7 years of post-qualification experience in fixed asset accounting operations, including reconciliations and month-end close support
  • Demonstrated experience with fixed asset processes, including depreciation, accumulated depreciation, work in progress, and fixed asset register controls
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across teams
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and control adherence
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work autonomously within a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to research issues, identify root causes, and provide solution-based outcomes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and clear, executive-ready communication
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational capabilities
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Master of Business Administration (Finance) or equivalent advanced degree
  • Experience supporting global or multi-region stakeholders in an operations or shared-services environment
  • Experience leading process improvement initiatives (e.g., standardization, automation, control enhancements)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capability (e.g., pivot tables, advanced formulas; macros and automation experience)
  • Experience building cross-training plans and backup structures for operational resiliency
