Job summary

John Clements Recruitment, Inc. seeks a Fixed Asset Accountant to maintain the asset register, process acquisitions/disposals, and monitor depreciation. The role involves reconciling assets with the general ledger and supporting month-end/year-end closings.

Candidate should have 1–3 years in accounting with fixed asset experience, strong Excel skills, and proficiency in ERP systems. Collaboration with Finance and Procurement is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience with at least 1 year in Fixed Asset Management/Fixed Asset Accounting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and fixed asset processes.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Close attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems.
• Experience in audit support and fixed asset inventory management.
• Knowledge of depreciation methods and asset capitalization policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the fixed asset register.
• Record asset acquisitions, transfers, disposals, retirements, and write-offs.
• Calculate and monitor monthly depreciation expenses.
• Ensure proper asset capitalization and classification.
• Reconcile fixed asset register with the general ledger.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities for fixed assets.
• Coordinate and participate in physical asset inventory and verification.
• Prepare reports and documentation for audits.
• Ensure compliance with policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Warehouse, and other departments on asset-related transactions.
• Utilize ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) to manage fixed asset records.
