Job summary

Dempsey Resource Management in Manila seeks a Legal Supervisor to oversee daily legal and compliance operations for a fintech and online lending business. The ideal candidate holds a Philippine law degree and active IBP Bar membership, with solid fintech/lending industry experience.

You will manage regulatory liaison with SEC and AMLC, oversee compliance programs, and supervise external law firms to ensure timely, cost-effective regulatory responses and policy development.

Qualifications

• JD from a recognized Philippine law school.
• Active IBP Bar membership.
• 4–6 years post-bar legal experience essential.
• 2+ years in qualified Philippine OLP institutions is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary liaison with SEC and AMLC and manage daily regulatory communications.
• Oversee SEC compliance, lending permits, reports and disclosures.
• Manage AMLC compliance: CTR/STR submissions and inquiries.
• Draft and standardize core legal documents and policies.
• Oversee external law firm cooperation and control legal costs.
